I can't get eiither the 6.3 Jigsaw Detector or Sherlock to work on my computer either.   6.3 will do the border, but not the inside.   Sherlock just keeps pieces in the corner.   I have tried all different things that have been suggested here and nothing works.   And the tip that was posted here - what does this mean - if I open Sherlock with the game on the Main page what main page are you referring to.

The link for both programs is on the BH website.

I've had the same problem w/Sherlock from day one.Unfortunately I deleted Jigsaw Detector,(which worked fine) when I downloaded Sherlock. Now there is no link to download Jigsaw Detector. From the number of people reporting the same glitch with this program it's got to be the program.Admins-any plans to tweak/update Sherlock?

Sherlock absolutely will not do anything right on my system.
The last version of Jigsaw Detector ( is that the right name?) works OK, but will miss one piece in the left upper corner every now and then.

First poster is right in that speed does count with Jigsaw but it will finish a puzzle without any glitches in less than 3 minutes on Medium difficulty. :)

Do you have Sun Java?

If not go to www.java.com and install Sun Java then give it a try again. ;)

The only thing I don't see is what java you are using.

Whatever java you are using try switching to the other.

There are 2 javas.

1. Sun Java
2. Microsoft VM

You can find your java settings at Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab

Once at the Advanced Tab you'll need to scroll down a little and you'll see Sun Java and VM is right below it.

If your computer does not have VM you can get it at the following link https://www.alibre.com/alibrelibraries/ftp/JavaVM/9xNT4/msjavx86.exe
After saving this file you will need to double click it to install VM.

Do not have both javas checked off. Only have one enabled.

The Sun setting is easy. There is only one box to check off.

If you are switching your java to VM uncheck the Sun Java setting and under the VM settings the only box you need to check is the one for the JIT Compiler.

After making your change click ok to close the menu. Close your browser. Anytime you switch javas it is necessary to close the browser and reopen it again for the changes to take effect.
