being a former pet retail specialist  ;)
I can tell you that lovebirds are from the parakeet family.  they will eat smaller seeds like sunflower, millet, whatever you buy for your smaller parrot type birds.  and as for fruits, be careful not to give them too many fruits and veggies.  they will (like a kid) eat to their hearts content and end up getting sick (i.e colds, OD on vitamins)

aside from that, apples, bananas, apricots, kiwi, those types, they love!

good luck

I have a lovebird who will be 10 this year.  He likes to eat mostly millet-based food.  I've been most successful with the food made for parakeets, where most of the pieces are very small.  He doesn't like the vitamin pellets, so I put drops in his water to make sure he has proper nutrition.  They do like fruit, and some vegetables.  When we were carving our pumpkins for Halloween, he nibbled ferociously at the pumpkin pieces.  He loves mango and pineapple too.  I always keep a millet spray in his cage as well.  Hope this helps!  Any other specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

I adopted 2 female lovebirds last week and I cant find much about them online. Anyone own any that can tell me a few things like what they like to eat (i.e. veggies, fruits,) or foods they can't have. Do they play with small med or large toys and just general stuff you know just by having them. They have a pretty big cage with toys and seed/pellet and I want to give them veggies and spinich like my other birds but not sure what they can/can't have. Thanks

Good luck with your lovebirds. I'm sure you'll find your info somewhere on the net.
