What makes you think we would take care of our own if we became isolated? I mean, really, we already are walking the plank towards it...and Duh-bya's most recent budget slashes welfare and social service benefits to almost nothing...Meanwhile, 75% of his budget proposal was defensive spending...NOT including the war in Iraq and Afghanistan...so, you see what isolation leads to...more defense.
I think we need to get rid of "Duh-bya"

They are driving the wages down for people in the construction and heavy equipment areas. Of course the owners of the projects are not lower their prices one bit just making more profit.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I think after about 1 year of no US the rest of the world would be missing us vig time
