I think Mr. Gates should make the screen an off color for the Vista version, like orange. Nobody would expect that!

isn't  the BSOD  a win 95, 98,98 me issue  , i don;t remember ever getting the BSOD with xp    :o , unless  the PC u bought  win xp was intalled as an update and put over top of win98, 2000,     
if i was you id be taking the pc back  if you can  stuff em u don't  want ur pc to cark it altogether  g/luck   i'm sorry i can't help you  more.


You can get it in XP although I have never gotten one in XP.

You are getting what is referred to as the Blue Screen of Death. This is generally not a good thing. Your pc has some serious issues.

You may want to get advice from the microsoft forum.

Anyone else had this? I am getting a blue screen error message saying that some of the software I installed is not workng properly or that I need to do some kind of memory dump. so after getting this blue screen about 4 times I actually did a full reformat on My pc. I then added only my autos to what was on the pc when it came factory from dell and within 30 mins of using some of my autos it started getting the same blue screen error.
