I didn't realize you could customize the msn forums with your own backgrounds. BTW MSN Messenger 6.2 is neat if you haven't checked it out. ;)

To add a background to a custom page , first put your background into the photo album.  Then open background to full size.  Right click on it, choose properties, highlight the URL - (you must scroll to get it all or triple-click on it), and copy (Control+c).
.. then in the table box... where ya choose the background could.. is where ya put the propper URL.. if ya need any more help.. just ask ....

here is a list of HTML that ya can use for MSN groups...

  • Anchor: <a>
  • Map: <map>
  • Area: <area>
  • List Item: <li>
  • Base Font: <basefont>
  • Ordered List: <ol>
  • Paragraph: <p>
  • Break: <br>
  • Table: <table>
  • Break: <br>
  • Caption: <caption>
  • Column: <col>
  • Table Data: <td>
  • Column Group: <colgroup>
  • Division: <div>
  • Table Header: <th>
  • Definition List: <dl>
  • Font: <font>
  • Table Header Rows: <thead>
  • Headings 1-6: <h1> - <h6>
  • Table Body (groups, rows): <tbody>
  • Horizontal Rule: <hr>
  • Table Footer: <tfoot>
  • Image: <img>
  • Table Row: <tr>
  • Unordered List: <UL>
  • </li>

Thank very much for the info does it matter if it is a jpg/gif or does it have too be a gif file

You can do that by going into tools, change display picture and then browse to the directory where you have your image stored. You can also download images from their site by clicking on the smiley on the left hand side of the messenger. BTW, this is MSN messenger 6.2 I am trying. ;)

You can also change your background when you open the chat window. ;)
