Are you running it on "fast" speed?  I had the same problem but in the middle of the game sometimes.  When I changed the speed, I stopped getting the error.  I also found that it worked better in I.E. - the only thing I had to do was wiggle the mouse a second for the auto to start playing.  Hope you get yours working soon.  O0

windows xp
IE and Firefox tried both
32bits
1024x768
smooth fronts unchecked
msvm and sun java tried both
EuchrePlayer version 1.1.0
The auto plays well but it will not start A new game some times I get run time error check for new version
did not find one thanks for any help
