are you talking about what you are holding in your hand or the piece under it or both?  if you are talking about both, It would look like some kind of "jig" and saw blade to make a string instrument. I am going to be gone for a while, but if you cant find anything out, when I get back home, (don't know when that will be) I will try to find out something for you. But try to get a better picture of it OK?  good luck
