This is my first post.... Anyone know if backspin still works since they changed the theme to Thanksgiving ? Just thought I would ask before I tried playing it. Thanks.

Windows 98 is likely your problem. Not all autos are compatible with 98 since the OS is over 8 years old. If your running 98 memory is probably an issue as well. You need a minimum of 512MB of RAM to effectively play the games with autos.

On another note...Microsoft discontinued support for Windows 98 in July. You really should consider an OS upgrade because you will no longer get critical updates and patches from Microsoft.

I did that - I did the whole change screen resolution, turn off screensaver, etc.  Didn't work.  Went through the delete, reboot and re-download.  Didn't work.  The thing is that Backspin worked fine on the free trial, and then when I got it last night.  It is just not performing today.  It's not that big a deal - I'm out 10 bucks and have to go back to Pogo Bowl and get this myself.  It's just that this challlenge is so frustrating for me and a lot of others, and my last sure shot (no pun intended) was getting the auto.  alas.

Provide the answers to the following questions.

     1.) Operating system (Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP etc)?
     2.) Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Opera etc)?
     3.) Color setting (24 bit, 32 bit etc)?

I have deleted and rebooted 3 times now.  It has made no difference.  It was okay last night and now today - nothing.  And it almost had me my 200 last night - but it missed an easy spare in the last frame and I got 199!  Oh, well - back to trying to win this one myself.  And what is the obvious lesson??  Cheaters never prosper. :oo

Delete the auto then reboot your pc and download again.

There's nothing you can do. The autos come with a preset amount of shareware. There is no way to reset it.
