Sum are made like that. Mine does that as well. It keeps part of it for your Video Card and stuff. It's all perfectly normal. Hope that explains it for you. I know I was wondering that too when I got mine new pc this year. An my sweetie who got it for me, told me why and it makes sense.  O0

my grandson who is 11 years old has a labtop  it has 512 mb of memory but it say it has 384 mb has anyone else had this problem could he have change something not knowing it thanks for any help
