If you know anyone in college, they can normally buy MS Word in their campus book stores very cheap.

It's not free. You have to buy it. It costs in excess of $200 unless you only need to upgrade your version then it runs about $99. Ebay may have it cheaper buit make sure you are buying the correct program.
