reason I ask is a friend of mine has to complete level 4 on hard for a badge on another "pogo" site.  Also can get one for completing level 5 on hard.

but it will finish all 50 ranks rather quickly.

How good are the harvest autos when running the game on hard???  Can they get to year 5 or 6 before losing?
