That is due to your lack of RAM. Your computer freezes when it doesn't have adequate resources to use. :)

i say that cuz the adobe photoshop proggie froze my comp up when i try to use something else at the same time and psp9 isn't doing it

there are many online tuts for PSP
I think the most you can install would be 512mb max
my comp is about 1 1/2 yrs old but i started with 512 b/c i play a lot of PC games

I can't tell you. You'll have to check your sytem specs. This should be in the user manual you received when you bought it.

You have plenty of hard drive space what's your RAM? ??? I recommend having at least 512MB of RAM. :)
