this works for me.

whenever i get the game cannot load ...java error....

close the browser

relaunch

go to http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml (i keep bookmarked)

once the test finishes

then on a second tab go to pogo.

this forces java to load and run correctly - then there is no error when i go to pogo

I don't know what to tell you. Updating your AV can be done manually. Did you try like a month back?

Hey Homer,
I did a sytem restore last night, and all it did was cause my virus software is to be outdated and Java was really messed up because  it was missing files.
I can now get into games that are single platformed (Meaning only one java window opens.) Card games, dominoes, or ANY GAMES THAT REQUIRE YOU TO ENTER ONTO A TABLE, FORGET IT!

I would email ea tech support, but apparently the link is broken...

Try doing a system restore to a date when pogo did work for you.

yeah, of course I did...
That's why I am at the end of my rope...I have been trying to fix this issue all day...Deleted prefetch restarted....uninstalled and reinstalled java...stopped applications that would allow me to let them stop...you neame it..I tried it! I emailed tech support at pogo...knowing them it will be days before I hear from them....

 :'(( := :OO

OK all,
THIS IS EEING ME OFF!!!!
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO FIX POGO'S ERROR MESSAGES???? I CANNOT RUN  POGO ON ANY OF MY BROWSERS AND I AM AT THE END OF MY ROPE!!!

I GET THIS ERROR

The following error has occurred:
Could Not Load Game Images
Explanation:
The game applet encountered one or more errors downloading images from our servers.

This could be due to a host of issues including other software running on your computer; temporary problems with our network, the internet, or your network connection; temporary problems with our server, or an error in our game; or insufficient memory available on your computer.

How to Fix the Problem (All Computer Types):
There may be software running on your computer that is preventing the game from downloading images that it needs in order to run properly. This software could be an ad blocker, firewall, anti-virus or some other Internet Security program. You may want to try disabling or configuring this software so it does not interfere with Pogo.comâ„¢ games.

Try loading the game again; if the problem was a rare network error, it is unlikely to happen again.

Try loading the game again at a later time; if we were experiencing problems with our network or servers, we may have fixed them.

Try loading our game with no other applications running. Each program you run uses up some portion of your computer's memory and resources.

ANYONE?????
