Vista is a graphics hog. When I configured this computer I went all out on graphics card (high  end) and got a 20 wide  monitor. I dont have to change screen resolution for any of the autos.  I didnt want Vista begged the company to give me XP but no was the answer. I have run Vista for about 8 months now and wouldnt go back to XP for anything.  I also maxed the memory I could get on it.  At first I had some autos that worked great other wouldnt work at all. Once I switched to classic view everything has worked great.

In my house we have 4 computers with Vista and while I am not fond of it as an OS because I just find it uses too many resources, I have to live with it at least until I have to live with the next one.  I only use pogo cheats on one but I have purchased a dozen of them in the past years and I have only had one kind of problem (the error 25) which was fixed asap. This is the first one that has ticked me off because I have tinkered with my Vista settings beyond the classic and yet I still have to be able to SEE the games that I play because I do play games too!

I work at home and use a different computer for my business and so that is not a problem but in the same way there are beta testers for pogo games - I was a beta tester for XP and felt the information that we gave was not only appreciated but used. And was very surprised when I was told that there would be NO disabled beta testers for Vista. Does that tell you something about how MS feels about the disabled and their products - or about anyone.

BTW: I signed up for a beta tester for pogo but decided against it when I got the email - the true reason - I am just too invested in playing for me and I would not want to play what someone else wanted me to play.

I do not know why Homer's solution worked but I am sure that he has been doing this long enough that his reasoning is such that it made sense to him. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that life is one crushing defeat after another until you just wish Flanders was dead.

Homer, are you kidding?
I played the game against the bot today using Bumper and I was playing red.
It worked... although it analyzed every move to death and then some.
It IS aiming and shooting much better now, though.

So,  would it have done better on blue, or is this like the " cheats work with the monitor off' gag in the " How do you use your auto?" thread?

I was just taking a stab in the dark. When they said the red pucks didn't work my natural response was..."Try the blue one"

I am using Vista and ran bumper with no problems. Be sure you are using windows classic view as it will make some autos work and some wont if you are not in classic. Vista is a great os and the autos will work great

:^  Better dead than red. That was the solve, Homer! I had just been using whatever came up and it was always red puck but I specifically torked the blue and now it works. If I wasn't such a badge slut I wouldn't be so stressed about it. Thank you so much.

Use the blue puck

Have had Bumper since Feb and updated it over a week ago and it has not worked since then. The red puck just sits there and the timer runs out. I use the settings as per Badgehelp page (no wackiness against aggressive) but it does not matter because the timer just will run out before the puck ever moves. I have completely deleted it from the computer and rebooted and reinstalled but nothing different. I have a new computer with Vista which unfortunately is the problem. I did a TSR around 8:30 PDT but am surprised no one else has posted about this. I HATE this program and wish that I had never bought it anyway because it really sucked and was hoping that it would get a makeover before we had this challenge.  :OO
