Is it your computer losing connection to your DSL connection or is the modem losing connection?

You should be able to notice a change in the lights on the modem when your connection goes down.  If it is your modem, it sounds like your phone company is doing some upgrades (seem to be doing more at night, which would explain why you're losing connection more frequently at night than during the day).

If it's your computer losing the connection, try running a virus/adware scan to make sure there's nothing there that's kicking you off.

What you could also try is double-checking your ethernet cables or maybe swap them for different ones to see if that solves the issue.
