I have been getting the same issues for about a month now.
I play-ed texas hold em sups every day and It would take forever to load etc and the crash or load but have me on such a lag that people would be telling me or and I would time out and lose my tokens. This was the case in canasta and spades as well. All other games were doing ok....
I run firefox and know to empty all my crap and I would run Ccleaner, Ad-ware etc etc and still I would have this issue.
I would have to play with my task manager up in case It locked up and I would have to terminate firefox that way.
Nothing but brain farts with the software pogo uses....

emptying and rebooting didn't work........this morning when I tried to get in, it just said loading up on the top left, but the "tips" didn't pop up.  Now it's not even loading and just boots me out. 
I updated my java, and it works now.  Thanks

I can get into pogo, but as soon as I select a room, it flashes and shuts down my explorer.  Any ideas how to fix this?
