A power outage might at anytime disable all or any part of an electrical system or circuit. Your monitor might be on the fritz.

But before you go and buy a new one, why dont you try a system restore to the nearest date prior to the outage, in case there were some settings, active x or java, that might have retrograded

Go to:

Control Panel>

Display>

Settings>

Advanced>

Monitor

And increase the refresh rate of your screen.. Once you apply the changes this should fix the flickering immediately. If it doesn't try another refresh rate.

If your monitor keeps flicking on an off, check your cable connections and if the monitor is more than five years old, you may want to consider upgrading to a new model. Flat screen monitors have really come down in price lately.

hi homer or mayhem i was using helper for slots and was letting it run
was in  front of my house well my internet went out and all i saw was the program trying
to run and now my screen jumps and flickers from this any ideas?
