Once I upgraded to 8 problem gone. Autos run fine and no more freezing. I have not upgraded to 8 on laptop cause it works fine. So as with everything Microsoft some will like it and have no problems others will hate it and nearly destroy the computer. The only thing I turned off on 8 was the page checker. It is a pain in the

I still have IE6 & wont install even 7. i had it & couldnt figure it out, so as long as my games play ( Why update) thats my personnal preference though.

I think it's a bit faster, has more options and is more user friendly --BUT I'm finding that some of the pic's on this site are now only boxes with a small red x in top corner. I followed the directions for the recommended settings from Homer that's here on this site but it didn't fix it so I guess that's not the problem.
