I have IE8 and never experienced any troubles at all in pogo, in here or anything else i have done. If anything I think it actually improved an issue I was dealing with before I downloaded it. I had IE 7 and with that I myself wasnt able to double browse with firefox. So I downloaded IE8 and now I can without any issues at all.

I'm still stuck in ancient mode, I still have ie 6
I like it and it works so I see no reason right now to change it. I know eventually I will have too, but I like the way it's set up and I know I will miss it once it's gone so I'm enjoying it while I can.  elf2.gif

Since I been running Windows 7 for the last few months, which is rock solid and what Vista should have been, you have to run IE8.  I had issues with IE8 in the beginning but only with Pogo and had to use compatibility but since last version of Java I no longer have to do so.  Everything in Pogo works fine including chat.  Pogo needs to do some work on this to straighten out their issues.  I only need to run compatibility in the 64bit IE8 because there is no Java support for that.

There seems to be an issue regarding Chat with IE 8. This is from Pogo's HELP:
<i>
Because Internet Explorer 8 is a Beta Release Candidate at the moment, Internet Explorer 8 is not yet an official Pogo supported browser. Although, you might be able to access some features of Pogo (such as certain games) in Internet Explorer 8, other features might not always work as well as with supported browsers.

One of the known issues running Pogo on Internet Explorer 8 is some players' inability to use a fully functional chat (they can only send emoticons). To fix this issue, we recommend running Internet Explorer 8 in <b>'Compatibility Mode'. </i></b>

It goes on to explain how to do this but it is one of the reasons I got rid of 8 and went back to 7.

You can also just right click an empty part of the toolbar and uncheck the box for yahoo and others you don't want.

I have recently downloaded IE8 & im not having any problems with it. But i sure did like my IE6 better. It had less stuff to figure out & now i have a toolbar with yahoo & other things across top, which i dont like. Its hard for me to explain, ss.

Go to : View / Toolbars

You should be able to disable whatever you want in there.
