No I have rebooted several times but no shortcuts. Gee it makes it harder to use the programs without the shortcuts.  Stupid new computer.  I think it must be a setting somewhere thats is preventing the shortcut from being created.  Trouble is I have no idea where.  Oh well.

click and drag the program from the BH folder to your desktop

Sometimes in Vista my shortcut does not show until I rebooted so now after I do this I refresh the desktop. See if that brings it up.

Thanks for replying.  I cant find the programs on the start menu.  I looked for Badgehelp like on XP but cant find anything.  I tried right clicking on the actual program and selecting run as administrator and it loaded program but no shortcut on the desk top.  It asks do I want a shortcut and I say yes but I dont get one. I can create a shortcut of the actual program but it means it reloads the program everytime I open it.

Just right click on the program in your start menu and choose send to from tab and then desktop...this should create your shortcut.  Try right clicking on the program and then choose run as administrator, which may get rid of the error message.

I just got Vista on my new laptop.  I cannot get the cheat to create a shortcut on the desk top.  It downloads fine, works fine but no shortcut.  It keeps giving me a message saying the program may not have installed properly and to try again.  Anyone know what is wrong?  I figure its a setting but cannot figure out what.  Thanks.
