Yes, if your computer is under warranty, always contact the manufacturer before doing anything major. If you do something on your own and mess it up, you might void the warranty.

1. Make sure you have ALL windows updates
2. Run this program and fix any problems http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-2086_4-10407614.html
3. Defrag your pc
4. Reboot your pc
5. Redownload program again
