Homer i apologize but I am really trying hard to do as you and Pete have stated but when I go to control panel, I don't see a "windows firewall" tab anywhere. I have windows XP if that helps. Again I do apologize for the confusion. My comprehension level isn't like it use to be due to a severe head injury so I struggle at times finding things. thanks for understanding.

thanks for the help...but.... the box for server certificate revocation was already unchecked. ... I don't have any other firewall on my laptop that I am aware of. I deleted nortons this morning. I checked my control panel and its not in the list of programs either. Is there another firewall somewhere that my laptop has that I am not aware of??
