Think I may have found the problem and the solution for mine.  I am running the New Windows 7 and the program may need to run in compatable mode.  Let me say the balloons filled ok the only problem I had was the program didn't recognize the Play again button.   So far the program went through the game 10 times without stopping.

click your start tab and click COMPUTER
click downloads on left column and find the program and right click it.
Go to troubleshoot compatiblity settings and click try recomended settings.

For others having similar problems it may not be the browser.... Ask if they are running Windows 7 and suggest trying the above fix.

I also use explorer 8 and mine doesn't continue to play either.   white flag.gif

I use Firefox, and up until last night, the auto was working fine.  However, last night, all I got was the tiniest balloons, I got nothing big enough to kill any aliens. 
I would also like to have an option in 'Settings' to address the challenges (# of giant balloons, alien streaks).
I hope an update is forthcoming to address this problem.
