who knows, I have DEP pop up all the time when I do things and I have it off.  It took me awhile to figure out that DEP was the cause.  No one could help me and I couldn't install any of the autos, I could download them, but the setup exe would stop working.  I did alot of searching before I found out it was DEP.

As for turning it on or off to download, I have no idea as I could download before and still can now, just couldn't install before and DEP was crashing the installer on purpose.

But, just like you, I figured out my problem and shared it so others could benefit hopefully.

That's the first I heard that one.

Maybe CrazyMan can shed some light on it. I think he was the one who came up with the DEP solution originally

The other day I was having trouble download a cheat and you told me to change the DEp setting and it worked. Now I found that I couldnt download any cheats at all. SO I reset the DEP to the orginial spot and now I can downlaod cheats.  So just in case anyone else has the problem they may have to reset a I did to download cheats and reset again for others.  *&^% I just hate it when life gets complicated like this.  But thats why we have sticky notes so old people like me can keep up with all this. Now where did I put the sticky notes?
