You can do this. Click SEARCH then when it pops up look to the bottom of the square and click on ADVANCED SETTINGS then in the drop down menu for SEARCH OPTIONS click on Newest Posts First.

well, that sucks. explains a lot though. That's so sad though...someone was sitting on a cash cow. Maybe not a very fat one, but a nice one at least.
