This help?

In Metro, type "desktop" to search for it.

You will see the desktop icon on the right of your screen.

Right click the desktop icon.

On the bottom right of your screen click "pin" to repin it.

If that doesn't work, look here: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2352-start-screen-pin-unpin-app-folder-drive-windows-8-a.html

I have windows 8 and I accidently unpinned my desktop from the task bar.

Now I have to click on a single link on the desktop to get to my little home button in the upper right hand corner.

I use to be able to click on the desktop app and all of my windows would come up.

Now when I click on desktop it takes me to my monitor icons.

I need to figure out how to re-pin my desktop correctly.

It is frustrating so any help would be appreciated.
