Yes, many commercials, each with gratuitous violence and the threat of such if you fail to even like coffee.  Can't imagine that being a successful ad compaign.

What surprises me is how many different commercials they made for it. Now the companies just make one commercial and run it until the wheels fall off.

Those were extremely disturbing. I watched about a minute and a half before I stopped. It's amazing what they got away with back then.

On a side note my mother (when she was a child still living in Brooklyn) rode an elevator with Jim Henson after he had done some show. She was there to watch something else (I believe).

These old Wilkins Coffee commercials were pretty disturbing ...
