yeah thx i didnt post that, but i meant it, i dont use the pm often anyways, if you really want to get an answer to something just post the question so that you can get a more broad outlook :P. I only use the pm option to talk with a friend which doesnt get on here anymore :(

you click on the im bubble on the bottom left of the persons post, and there is another way by selecting there profile when they are online

It doesn't give me the option to send a PM either.  In reading other threads it seems some can and some can't send PM's.   ???
