Yes, there was damage but I'm sure they got to it in time and it will heal well.  Poor thing.

It looks like they got to the shark just in time too. It did some pretty good damage though.

They are the largest fish in the ocean - such gentle giants.  That net would have eventually cut through its pectoral fins and killed the shark.  I love seeing human help wildlife when they're in trouble because of something humans did/littered/etc.   There's a special place in heaven for people who help animals and nature.
