I have done that, but the tree is very large and sits right next to the fence. We'll need to get someone in to trim it .. like down to half it's height.

I don't know about Canada but here in the states, if a neighbor's tree overhangs your property, you have the right to cut those parts away.

Speaking of leaves ... my neighbors privacy tree is leaving a real mess in my backyard. I'll have to speak with them in the spring and get it taken care of.
