It is supposed to help you jump from room to room so you don't get noticed in one room too long or you should be able to set it to shut down after so much time what ever you tell it to.  I haven't been lucky enough to get it to work for me but some others have.

If you load up Room Rover it says this :

This program helps keep the autos undetectable while you're sleeping or at work by moving you from room to room making it virtually impossible for anyone to tell you're using an autoplayer.
