It doesn't happen often but sometimes, due to weather or whatever, they have to have planes take off in my direction and they go directly over my house. I walk my dog early and as the plane is passing by, I hardly hear a sound. At that hour, they use some sort of engine adjustment so the planes go more slowly and almost completely silently. I wonder why they don't use that tech whenever over a residential area. I am also happy that I am not on the usual course for take offs and landings; one day some plane will have a mechanical problem and I don't want to be in the path!
