I haven't noticed that.  Thanks for pointing that out.  I do know that it doesn't count if you pair the disco balls together to wipe out the whole board.

I did the daily but did noticed that if you start with a booster disco ball it does not count. I think they want you to be able to make a disco ball and that does count.

I am at level 272 of Garden Blast--never have I seen Play Random Level--when will I get that? I thought this game only went to 260 levels

There are 260 levels. Twenty were added. There are youtube videos of garden blast levels if you are having issues.

Pogo did not mention how many new levels were added. There was 100 levels before the new addition this morning.

Pogo has added new levels to Garden Blast today.
