Don't upgrade, get a new computer for a little more.  Check out the Dell site.

No, nothing happens but the AUTO says it has found the game and it is playing but nothing at all happens.

Try unchecking the smooth edges of  fonts.......right click on your desktop.... scroll down to properties.  Go to the tab labeled <effects>....uncheck smooth edges of screen fonts

Like Barbara said, lot of the autos won't work on win 98, or win me also...just have to try em & see what will work or won't work..thats what I do, some will work for me but not all do..i just grin & bear it & am thankful for the one's that will work on this ole thing til i'm able to get a better puter..lol.......good luck!

The majority of the autos do not work with Windows 98.

Right click on your desktop.  Scroll down to properties.  Go to the far right tab labeled "settings....

The autos will not work on 16 bit color. You must change it to 24 or 32 bit.

Ok I have changed it....  NOTHING WORKS still!!!!!!!!!!!!  I even downloaded WordWhomp and Texas Holdem and when I turn it on it just sits there counting down time like it is doing someting but it is NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will try the 16 bit 32 bit...It is on 16 bit now and has always been. 

Auto does not say anything.  It just does not work. I am off to try the 32 bit. BRB

check what your screen colours are set at - i was about to ask the same thing a while ago because trouncer did the exact same thing , when I checked the colour setting for my desktop properties and found it was set to 16-bit nstead of 32-bit (so the program couldn't read the screen properly).... changed it and it worked instantly.

I have downloaded the Squelcie and Jigsaw and NONE of them work. It just sits there and never does anything.  Just as if I forfeit a game.  The only one that DID work was Turbo 21 and all it does is click on the same spot like Xu Mouse ALREADY does.  Why would I want to pay for programs that don't even work>?
