Well you weren't the only one, I remember how insulted I was the first time I heard it called a "trash 80".

My very first computer was a trs-80.  I remember staying up all night many times playing text only games.  I've never lost my facination of computers and what they can do.

Yep...and then checking and rechecking that you typed every line of code in correctly and swearing you did it correctly.

I always swore I would never type all that crap in again. And then next month when there was another cool game or app that I wanted, there I was....typing all that crap again like an idiot.

I should have just used my "X ray sunglasses that see through clothes" while I was typing in all those lines.

QuoteAnd then we learned Basic, Cobol, C, C+, C++, Fortran and machine language for those 10 kinds of people that understand it...

No kidding, why did they have to make it so complicated?   :P My first experience with vb6 was ...

Private Declare Function PostMessage Lib "user32" Alias "PostMessageA" (ByVal hwnd As Long, ByVal wMsg As Long, ByVal wParam As Long, lParam As Any) As Long

and i'm like ... whaaat? ooook ...

QuoteMayhem....

I remember typing those exact lines on my Commodore 64 computer and I got excited when the left hand side of the screen filled up with HELLO!

Ah .. the good old C64 days. Sadly enough, i was one of those people who always bought those computer magazines and sat down for hours at a time and typed out those 6 pages of code try to get that damn game to run.

Those magazines always had printing errors and missing code   ::) .. but yet we still tried anyways ...

I remember making those programs in computer class in high school..(am I showing my age?)
It was so exciting to see those words fill up my screen. When the teacher was out there was always someone who would change "hello" to something less appropriate.   :-X

heretic, turn off your firewall, then submit your report.  The firewall is what's preventing you from submitting a problem report.  By the way, I find that your signature is very harassing and doesn't really belong on this forum.  If you'd change it on your own, that'll make you look better than to have a few of us complain to the admin types here...
