Actually, that varies from PC professional to PC professional.  There is no hard and fast rule on this as it depends on the individual the machine belongs to.  No, it should NOT be used to "clean" your PC, and yes proper maintenance is key, BUT ... some people are just not technologically savvy enough to delete spyware, clean cookies and temp files, run msconfig to keep 8 million things from running in their taskbar,clean registry, properly delete programs, etc.  When their PC slows down to a crawl, doing a "factory restore" is probably their best bet.  Even my local guru (who runs a VERY successful custom-build business) wipes his out once a year whether they need it or not.  I on the other hand use the "proper maintenance" rule of thumb ... lol.  Mainly because mine IS a custom-build and there is no factory restore disk.  When I reformat, I literally reformat and have to put EVERYTHING back in manually, which is usually a two-day process - even with data folder backups.  Ugh!

One tip I have learned though (and it doesn't work on ALL systems for some reason), is that if you're lucky, you CAN rename your system to the old name (the one with all the funky letter/number combos) and your computer name-dependent programs can use the same keys as they did before the reformat.  You will have to re-enter all the codes, but they work.  If you can do this, you should do it BEFORE you connect to a network or the internet as doing this will change all your network settings.  Since learning to do this, I have never had to request any new codes for my autos ... knock on wood!

OK...If you save them to a cd or disk the only thing you will save is time re-downloading them again.  When you wipe your hard drive and then have it re-formatted all of the codes within the autos will change thus the codes you have now will no longer work.  You will have to send in all your proof like paypal receipts etc again to recieve the new codes.  This is done so you can't just send your autos & codes to anyone else and they get to have them for free.  But they will be more then happy to send you new codes once you verify that you paid for them.

Actually a PC should be restored to the factory settings once a year to remove bugs, excess, unused material and progammes, and for general health and smooth running of the pc - especially if it is connected to the internet.
So, can I save my pogo cheats to a disc or is the ONLY option to go throuh the long process of waiting for new codes from badgehelp?

Right I am ready to completely reboot my pc now. That means I will be taking it back to the factory settings. Which means I will loose evrything stored on my pc - including all my pogo cheats. So......you say that all I need to do is re-download them? The last time I tried that I got nowhere and had to wait for all new codes to be sent to me from badgehelp!!! Are you still sure that it will work? There will be no information stored on my pc to say that I own them anymore.
Is it posible to download them to a disc now and save all the hassle?

  They should not be lost if u reboot although if u restore to an earlier time they may disappear, but YES, just redownload after restoring

If I reboot my PC all my pogo cheats will be lost. Do I just re-install them when my PC is well again?
