yes, and from then to rank 9 or 10 you will have to retire twice for each rank, the 3 times, then 4 times, etc, up to 8 times in the higher ranks,  hope this helps

ohhh i retired from rank 4 so I still have the same food as rank 4 twice then finish it again to get to rank 5 right?

Hope this will help. You have to retire a total of 6 to reach rank 5. You have to retire twice in rank 4 to reach rank 5 and get badge.

I just finished level 4 to retire and I did but it didn't go to next rank! It didn't say i learned to make anything new and I did not get the badge for rank 5 or did it progress. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
