Yes, I put them in my unused desktop folder for easy access ;)

I don't know, I just drag them to a folder of my choice.

I know I can delete the shortcut easily ... but they keep coming back when I open the auto again .... so much for "privacy"!!

if its a shortcut, shift+delete works good for me (directly deletes the thing, without sending it to the recycle bin first).. that should work ;)

You should be able to right click on them & delete them off your desktop but they'll still be where ever you saved them at.

OK .. I'm just really, really frustrated right now and I'm sure this post will show it!!

I had to reformat my computer and download all the autos again.  I OWN all of them.  I had an email open, sending a message to get new codes and the directory when I download all my programs to (PRIVATE to ME only!).  I had to open each auto to get my computer code from each.  When I sent the email and closed the directory of autos, I noticed my desktop is flooded with shortcuts to the programs.  This is just unnecessary!!!  Surely if we're smart enough to purchase the autos and use them, we're smart enough to find them on our computer where we download them to.  Isn't there some way to stop this annoyance?

I should feel better after venting here, but I don't yet ... still gotta find a way to clean up my computer again after it took 2 days to reformat and get it loaded just the way I wanted it.
