The Wuppertal Schwebebahn Railway is the oldest electric elevated railway in the world and is still in use today as a means of local public transport.

Not my cup of tea.  It looks too industrial and I wouldn't want to look out my house and see that.  The supports were not attractive.

The fact it's still running is pretty amazing. I wonder how safe it really is after all these years.
