Okay heres your laugh. I spent my birthday at a "Polka Festival" .. Yes .. you heard me - polka festival. There is nothing, and I do mean nothing, more hilarious than watching a ton of drunk people polka'ing. Okay the really funny part? I knew every single person in the band. By name. I dont think Ive ever consumed as much beer as I have over the past weekend. It got to the point Saturday night that we were drinking pitchers of beer with straws. And I did remember not to bend over in the skirt, thank Gawd Lib reminded me 0:

The entire little town is Polish. When my family moved in (Gramps and Grams) they were the very first non-polish people in the area. The polka festival has been going on for 25 years .. absolutely beautiful area with really really nice people. As far as the skirt goes - I kid you NOT there were people there who were more dressed up than I would be for a flipping wedding (Possibly even my own). These people take their polkaing seriously. And no I didnt get polka'ed dammit!!!

It was the most fun!! I swear. Youd think itd be all old people, but it was a wide variety of ages - until 8 its mostly older people .. after 8 its mostly drunk people. I didnt lose a bet, I walked in sober, I did get someone mad at me, but it was in an unrelated event. Im sure I could have come up with something better to do, but I had tons of fun. It is gigglesnort worthy, but it really was fun.
